GD82 Master Electric Scooter FAQs
P01 Backlight Brightness
Adjusts the brightness level of the display screen. The brightness range is from Level 1 to Level 4.
- Level 1: The dimmest setting, ideal for night riding. Reduces glare and conserves battery power.
- Level 4: The brightest setting, recommended for strong daylight conditions to ensure clear visibility.
P02 – Speed Unit (KM / MPH)
Sets the speed and distance display unit:
- 0: Kilometers (km)
- 1: Miles (mph)
After switching units, ODO, TRIP, and Speed values will update accordingly. The speed limit value in P08 will not automatically convert.
P03 – Battery Voltage Setting
This setting informs the controller of the battery’s operating voltage. The default voltage is 60V.
If the voltage is set lower than 60V, the display may show full battery until sudden power cutoff occurs. If set higher, the display may flash a low-battery warning.
Do not modify this value unless instructed.
P04 – Auto Sleep Timer
Sets the automatic power-off time when the scooter is stationary and inactive.
- 0: Auto sleep disabled
- 1–60: Auto power-off after the selected number of minutes
P05 – Power Level Configuration
Allows customization of power delivery levels.
- 3 Levels: Simple and aggressive power response
- 5 Levels: Finer control for smoother cruising
P06 – Wheel Diameter Setting
Configures the wheel size used for speed and distance calculation.
Adjustable range: 5.0–50.0 inches. If displayed speed differs from GPS speed, adjusting this value may improve accuracy.
P07 – Motor Pole Count
Input the number of motor magnetic poles using the formula:
Magnet Count × Gear Reduction Ratio
Incorrect settings may result in severely inaccurate speed readings.
P08 – Speed Limit Setting
Sets the theoretical top speed of the scooter.
- Factory Default: 25 km/h
- Range: 0–100
- 100: No electronic speed limit
P09 – Zero Start / Non-Zero Start
P09 – Zero Start / Non-Zero Start
- 0 (Zero Start): Throttle activates from a complete stop. Convenient but may cause sudden movement.
- 1 (Non-Zero Start): Requires 3–5 km/h rolling speed before throttle engages for improved safety.
P11 – Throttle Sensitivity
Mainly used for protocol compatibility. Changing this value typically does not affect ride feel.
Recommended to keep the factory default setting.
P12 – Motor Start Strength
Controls the motor’s initial output when starting.
- Level 1: Smooth and gentle start
- Level 5: Maximum launch power (use only on open or off-road areas)
P14 – Controller Current Limit
Adjusts the maximum motor current (1–20A).
Higher current improves acceleration and hill-climbing but increases heat and battery drain. Set a balanced value to protect core components.
P15 – Low Voltage Cutoff
Sets the battery protection voltage threshold. Power will shut off automatically when voltage drops to the set level.
Warning: Excessive over-discharge may permanently damage the battery.
P16 – Data Reset
- Hold “+” for 5 seconds: Clear ODO
- Hold “–” for 2 seconds: Restore factory settings
P17 – Cruise Control
- 0: Cruise Control ON
- 1: Cruise Control OFF
Maintain a steady throttle for 5–8 seconds to activate. Apply the brake to cancel.
P18 – Speed Ratio Adjustment
Fine-tunes the speed display percentage.
Adjustment range: 50%–150%
P26 – NFC Binding
Used to bind NFC access. Follow on-screen instructions to bind an NFC card or smartphone for tap-to-unlock functionality.
